Tale
After a family tragedy, three generations of the Dietz family return home to Winter River
Still haunted by Beetlejuice, Lydia’s life is turned upside down when her teenage daughter Astrid accidentally opens a portal to the afterlife. Jenna Ortega, Michael Keaton, Winona Ryder, Catherine O’Hara, Justin Theroux and Monica Bellucci share why filming in Tim Burton’s film Beetlejuice was an unforgettable experience for them. Tim Burton said that this film will only be made if Michael Keaton returns to reprise his role.
Beetlejuice: I think that’s what Dostoevsky said

SPOILER: In the closing credits, there is a dedication to Bob Skinner, who died in the film.. MacArthur ParkBy Jimmy WebbPerformed by Donna SummerProvided by Island Def Jam Music GroupLicense to Universal Music Operations Ltd. If you know the original, you’ll likely be disappointed by this film, which suffers from a poor plot and chaotic script – it’s a big, high-energy mess of a movie.
The biggest problem is that, unlike the original, it doesn’t have any likeable characters
Adam and Barbera were created early and became the catalyst for what was to follow. In the 2024 version, there are no such characters, which means that there is no catalyst and no reason for the audience to invest in and care about any superficial characters, with the possible exception of Bob. In the 100-minute presentation, there are no « moments », nothing that could become classic quotable lines, unlike the original, which was accompanied by them.
You may get something out of the movie, and I sincerely hope you do, but lower your expectations before the world goes out
Keaton, Ryder and O’Hara are all criminally underrated and struggle with a poor script that kept my theater quiet throughout, and an equally quiet shuffling as people headed for the doors.
